Off the beaten tracks remains original with very good musicians in this period 2010-2011. Nicolas Folmer is still on tour in quartet, after he enjoyed a dazzling time in Saveurs Jazz festival in Segré this summer , where he is artistic director.

After he went to Madagascar in the frame of Madajazzcar festival, Nicolas Folmer’s quartet will open the Plateau Picard Jazz festival in Tricot, in the region of Oise (60) on 23rd October. A residence will follow in Mauritius, with the great Meddy Gerville and Rémi Vignolo on drums. Back to France in November for concerts in Annecy, Vitrolles and Salon de Provence.

So this summer the 1rst edition of Saveurs jazz festival took place in Segré (49) under the artistic direction of Nicolas Folmer. It was a real success with more than 2000 people in 3 days of festival. The audience could enjoy a concert of Ahmad Jamal for the opening, André Ceccarelli and David Lynx on Saturday night, or even the exceptional meeting between Richard Galliano, Nicolas Folmer, André Ceccarelli and Jerome Regard to close the festival. A second edition is already on the way for 2011!
